The mother of a 6-year-old boy who suffered from brain damage as the result of a botched surgery has won a $30 million settlement.
Evidence Video’s Day in the Life video was played during the trial. Attorney Stephan Blandin presented a series of videos showing the boy as happy and thriving prior to the surgery. Evidence Video’s work documented the dramatic changes after the surgery. The boy now feels pain daily and is unaware of his surroundings.
Blandin pointed to the importance of the Day in the Life video in the trial:
“These videos provided critical, visual opportunities for jurors to see what a day in the life of this boy has become. The video helps one truly understand the daily uphill battle this young boy and his family will continue to climb for the rest of their lives,” said Blandin.
