A $20.5 million dollar award was reached in the case of a plaintiff who was critically injured while asleep in bed and subsequently died.
The incident happened when the defendant, driving a semi, lost control, drove over the property, and struck the plaintiff’s home in the bedroom where the plaintiff was sleeping. Evidence Video produced a Wrongful Death Documentary on what had been a young, healthy adult with a bright future ahead of them. Beloved in the community, their volunteer outreach to the less advantaged in the neighborhood made the loss even more tragic.
